Zenitsubo (Pot filled with coins)

A pot excavated in Kuraoka village (now called Gokase town), Nishi Usuki county, Miyazaki prefecture, southern Japan.
This pot was filled with 7,700 coins of 66 kinds. 70% of them were Shichusen. For minting Shichusen, the following types of molds were used:
mold made by copying Toraisen
mold made by using Toraisen but remodeling the written characters on the coin
mold made by carving a new form
mold made by using privately-minted coins copied from Toraisen
